Keira Knightly Explains Why She's Been Wearing Wigs

— -- Keira Knightly has revealed her secret weapon: wigs.

In an interview with InStyle UK, the actress shared that constant hair coloring took a toll on her locks, making wigs essential.

"I have dyed my hair virtually every color imaginable for different films," she said in the interview. "It got so bad that my hair literally began to fall out of my head! So for the past five years I’ve used wigs, which is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to my hair."

Knightly said that while motherhood has added some body to her hair, it comes with a price.

"I have naturally crazy, curly hair, and since I’ve had the baby it’s become 10 times thicker," she said. "So now I’ve been finding quite a lot of dreadlocks."

Through all of these beauty obstacles, Knightly has a new approach to her regimen: "Do what you can remember, and don’t worry about it too much.”
