Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy 'Terminate Romantic Relationship'

— -- The summer of celebrity splits continues -- and the latest is a big one: Kermit and Miss Piggy.
"Here is the official statement on @KermitTheFrog and moi's relationship termination," Miss Piggy wrote on Twitter.
The statement reads, "After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, we have made the difficult decision to terminate our reomantic relationship," she wrote. "We will continue to work together on television."
The split was announced during the Television Critics Association summer press tour while the two are promoting their new show, ABC’s "The Muppets."
According to TV Line, Kermit is already dating. He has been linked to another pig named Denise, the site reports. She also works at ABC, but not in front of the camera. She's in marketing.
“Dating moi is like flying close to the sun. It was inevitable that Kermit would drop down to the ground while I stayed in the heavens," Piggy told the audience at the TCAs, according to TV Line.
Entertainment Weekly adds that Miss Piggy is linked to "That ’70s Show" actor Topher Grace.
"The Muppets" premieres Sept. 22 on ABC.
