Why Kerry Washington Feels 'Really Blessed' Being a Mom
The "Scandal" star said she's "living extraordinary dreams come true."
June 11, 2014 — -- In her first interview since giving birth to a daughter in April, Kerry Washington answered a fan question about her new life as a mom.
"Now that you're a mom will it be bittersweet to go back to work?" a fan asked during her chat with the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday.
As usual, Washington wasn't very open about her personal and called the question "tricky," but did share some joyous sentiments about motherhood.

"I will say I feel really, really blessed," she said. "I just feel really blessed that I'm kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life."
Washington and her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, welcomed their daughter, Isabelle, on April 21.
This is the first child for the actress, 37, and her husband. The couple married last July in a secret ceremony in Blaine County, Idaho. Then, following months of rumors and unconfirmed reports, the ABC TV star debuted her baby bump at the Golden Globes in January.
