George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin met in Italy, so it's fitting that that's where they'll officially said "I do."
However, while it may be a sentimental choice for the A-listers, they're not the first celebrities to go that route.
Here are some other star couples who chose the country as the place to celebrate their amore!
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
The reality TV star and her rapper beau capped off a two day long celebration in Paris with an extravagant ceremony at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence this past May. Kardashian later explained that they fell in love in Paris and conceived their daughter, North, in Florence, which is why they chose those locations. "I love Florence, I love Italy and the Italian lifestyle," West added.
Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
Just a few weeks ago, the Tony winner and his longtime partner finally said "I do" at a castle in Perugia, Italy. The local produce took on an unexpected importance in the couple's nuptials, as their young son, Gideon, insisted on passing them out to guests instead of fulfilling his role as the ring bearer. "We said, 'What is an orange boy?' and he explained this whole thing where he comes down with a basket of oranges," Harris said. "Then, we were trying to find a plan like we'll tie the rings to an orange!"
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
The iconic movie star and the "Dawson's Creek" actress tied the knot in 2006 at the Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano. Holmes wore a gown by Giorgio Armani and guests included Will Smith and Jennifer Lopez. Sadly, the duo split in 2012.
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel
The N'SYNC frontman and the actress married at the Borgo Egnazia resort in the southern Italian city of Fasano in 2012. Timberlake played the guitar and sang to Biel as she walked down the aisle in a pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen
The singer and his supermodel wife got married just last September in Lake Como, Italy. The bride wore a strapless ivory Vera Wang gown. She changed into a second Wang gown for the reception. Legend performed “All of Me,” which he wrote about his blushing bride, at the wedding.
Bill Rancic and Giuliana Rancic
The E! News anchor and "Apprentice" winner married in 2007 at the Church of Santa Sofia in Capri. The bride wore a two-piece Monique Lhuillier gown.
Sofia Coppola and Thomas Mars
The "Lost in Translation" director married the Phoenix rocker in 2011 at the Palazzo Margherita.
Emily Blunt and John Krasinski
"The Devil Wears Prada" star married the "Office" hunk in 2010 in Como with guests like close-friend George Clooney.
Beverly Mitchell and Michael Cameron
The "Seventh Heaven" star married Cameron in 2008 in Ravello with Jessica Biel serving as a bridesmaid.
