July 2, 2014 -- Kim Kardashian credits motherhood with changing her view on life.

However, it also altered the way she looks at her career.

"It is an adjustment trying to balance a career and motherhood for sure, but the key is to prioritize. You become more selective and work on projects that are so meaningful because you want every other waking moment spent with your family," the reality TV star told Julia Restoin Roitfeld for her blog, Romy and the Bunnies. "You have to remember though to make time for yourself. If you feel good, you will be happy in your career and family life and everyone is happy!"

Kardashian, 33, and her husband Kanye West, 37, welcomed North last June. Recently, they celebrated their daughter's first birthday with a lavish, Coachella-themed party that featured a Ferris wheel and more.

"I love being a mom! It’s the most rewarding feeling! I really love every phase!" Kardashian gushed. "Just the way my daughter laughs with me, all of the small things in life you appreciate!"

In fact, it was so overwhelming that Kardashian admitted that she "found it challenging" to work again because she wanted to spend time snuggling and napping with her daughter. After awhile, though, she was able to adjust and has even found ways to take North along with her for international trips -- including to her wedding in Florence this past May.

"Jet lag can be tough to adjust to, especially for a baby," she noted. "think its important to travel with the necessities to make sure your baby gets a nap on the flight, and whenever necessary!"
