— -- Reality show star Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint last night in Paris, and although not everything is known about the crime at this juncture, here is what is known:
The Paris residence where Kardashian was staying has been described as a mansion.
It is a 19th-century luxury home in a chic district in Paris' eighth district near the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the Place de la Concorde and the home of the president of France. Kardashian West was in the city for Paris' fashion week.
Five assailants dressed as police officers participated in the robbery.
But only two forced their way into the apartment, according to police. Once inside the mansion, the costumed thieves handcuffed the concierge at gunpoint. They found West, tied her up and locked her in a bathroom.
The thieves stole a jewelry box, ring and smartphones.
The jewelry box contained valuables worth about $6.7 million and the ring was worth about $4.5 million. Two of Kardashian West's smart phones were also taken in the incident. The crooks absconded on bikes, according to the AP..
It is unclear if anyone else was in the home at the time West was robbed.
Whether or not she was with her children, 3-year-old daughter North and 10-month-old son Saint, is also unknown.
Her husband, rapper Kanye West, abruptly left a concert after the robbery.
West was performing at the Meadows Music and Arts Festival in New York and left as soon as he got word of the crime. After the robbery, photos show Kardashian West boarding her private jet along with her personal bodyguard. She was said to be 'shaken' by the incident.
