Kim Richards Steps Out After Arrest
The reality TV star was charged with public intoxication yesterday.
— -- Kim Richards may be laying low, but she's not hiding.
Just hours after the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star was released from police custody, she was seen in the L.A. area wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses.
Richards, 50, was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning and charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer, according to police.
Lt. Lincoln Hoshino, a representative for the Beverly Hills police department, told ABC News that after Richards refused to leave the Beverly Hills Hotel, police took her into custody. Hoshino added that after the arrest, the reality star, who appeared to be intoxicated, cursed at officers and kicked one in the leg.
Richards, who has struggled with substance abuse in the past, was released at 10:36 a.m. and is expected to appear in court next month.
She'll have her castmates' support. Though a representative for Bravo had no comment, a few of her on-screen pals tweeted words of encouragement.
"I feel badly for Kim Richards and her family," tweeted Eileen Davidson. "My thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time."
Brandi Glanville, who did not mention the arrest specifically, added, "Real friends are their [sic] in the good times, the bad times & especially the worst times. I am blessed with real friends & am a real friend myself."
