Kimberly McCullough Reveals She Suffered a Late Miscarriage in 2015

The "General Hospital" actress opened up about the miscarriage in a blog post.

— -- Actress Kimberly McCullough opened up about her miscarriage as she reflected on her ups and downs of 2015, and her hopes for the new year.

In an emotional blog post for her website, McCullough explained that the good and bad events she faced in 2015 were "enough to define me for at least the next 5 years," and revealed that she suffered a miscarriage when she was 22 weeks pregnant.

"My heart was so full and then it broke. I had lost my baby girl," McCullough wrote. "It was too much. I didn’t need to learn this lesson. I wasn’t interested. But I wasn’t in control."

The "General Hospital" actress acknowledged that she is "still healing," from the heartbreak of losing her daughter, she is "proud" of how she has been coping in the aftermath of the miscarriage.

"One thing I am proud of however was that I allowed myself to be happy and to relish the moment," McCullough wrote. "I sat in all that goodness and I can recall those feelings (when I’m having different ones) and hope that it can be like that again."

The 37-year-old actress told fans that through all of the ups and downs of 2015, she is "grateful for it all." McCullough also thanked her supporters on Twitter for their words of encouragement in response to her blog post.

"Thank you for all your lovely thoughts today," McCullough wrote. Only positive vibes here- love and blessings."
