Kris Jenner: 7 Things to Know About Her
You've seen her on TV, but here are a few things you don't know about Jenner.
— -- Kris Jenner, the mastermind behind the Jenner/Kardashian empire, lives her life on reality TV.
However, there are a things about her that even the most die-hard "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" fans don't know.
Jenner, 59, allowed the New York Times Magazine into her home, thus revealing details about the inner-workings of her (very public) life. Here are just seven.
1. She spends an hour in makeup every day of filming: Every day that she shoots "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," the reality TV star has her hair and makeup professionally done. One of her assistants told the Times Magazine that the hour she spends getting primped is considered speedy.
2. She's working on a new reality series: She's enlisted the help of several show business-savvy friends to create a new reality TV series. Among them: Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin, "Bachelor" executive producer Mike Fleiss, songwriter Michael Einziger and Lance Bass.
3. She wore Nicole Brown Simpson's maternity hand-me-downs to court: Robert Kardashian, Jenner's first husband and the father of four of her six children, defended O.J. Simpson in court when he was accused of murdering his wife, Nicole Simpson. Nicole was one of Jenner's best friends, and she wore her hand-me-down maternity clothes to court.
4. "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" was her idea: Jenner pitched Ryan Seacrest a reality show based on her family when her kids were ages 7-26. “Like, there’s the little girls, and there’s the older girls, and then there’s my son,” she told the Times Magazine. “Everybody thinks that they could create a bunch of drama in their lives, but it’s something that I felt I didn’t even have to think about. It would be natural."
5. She uses black toilet paper: Kim Kardashian complained about it in one episode, but to no avail.
6. She's supportive of Bruce Jenner's transition: Bruce and Kris Jenner's divorce was finalized just a few months ago, but she is still supportive of her ex, even having duplicates of their family's Christmas stockings sent to his new home in Malibu. When asked about the former Olympian's transition, all she would say was, “At the end of the day, I just want him to be happy... He’s going to find his happiness, and he’s going to have his journey.”
7. Costco is mecca to her: Jenner may have staff at her side at all hours of the day, but one errand remains deeply personal to her: going to Costco. “Costco is a passion,” she said, before gushing over their dog beds and surfboards. “Costco is like a massage."
