Lauren Graham Calls 'Gilmore Girls' Revival 'Incredibly Satisfying'

— -- Lauren Graham says that fans of "Gilmore Girls" have reason to be excited for the Netflix revival.
Calling "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" "incredibly satisfying," she said that she couldn't really give away plot points if she tried.
After all, she noted with a smile, "our show was never really about spoiler alerts."
"The thing one might worry about is, does it feel like just nostalgia or was there really reason to go on?" she told ABC News on Wednesday after announcing the Emmy nominations alongside Anthony Anderson. "I think they were some of the most wonderful episodes we've ever had and it feels brand new but still the same show. So it's very satisfying."
"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" will be a four-part series tracking the lives of Lorelei Gilmore (Graham) and her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel). Graham said that the project is a TV-movie hybrid, making Netflix, which earned 54 Emmy nominations on Wednesday, "the exact right place" for it.
"You need it to be at a place where we're not worried about commercials and the length can vary a little bit," she explained. "It really ended up perfect and after so many years of wondering, 'would we do it, how could we do it,' I couldn't feel better about it. ... It's just a perfect fit."
A premiere date for "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" has not yet been announced.
