Liv Tyler Shares the Beauty Secrets She Stole From Dad Steven Tyler
For starters, "He'll cover his whole body in oil and moisturizer," she said.
June 23, 2014 -- Liv Tyler always seems to be red carpet ready.
But now she's dishing some of the beauty secrets she picked up from one of her biggest inspirations: her dad, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.
"Today when I go and stay with him, I always have to raid his cupboards because he's got all the best creams. He's, like, a major moisturizer," she told Glamour magazine. "He'll cover his whole body in oil and moisturizer and walk around the house in a pair of shorts. Me, I do face masks all the time. Even when I'm walking around the house."

The actress, 36, also recalled moments when the two weren't exactly on the same page, however. In the '90s, Steven Tyler, now 66, tried to get her to change her hairstyle, she said, much to her chagrin.
"My dad was always telling me I needed a little body in my hair. [His process was to] use two blow-dryers at the same time, shake out his hair, then flip it up," she said. "I was like, 'Daddy, I don't want my hair like that!' I liked my hair flat, silky and tucked behind my ears."
Fashion was another place where the two didn't exactly see eye-to-eye. Though she said "it's always been fun to watch him get dressed," Tyler isn't always trying to look as rock-star glam as her famous father.
"I definitely don't think of him when I'm getting dressed," she said.
