'Love Actually' Secrets Revealed
Find out whether Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman's characters stayed together.
— -- One of the most heartbreaking scenes in "Love Actually" is when Emma Thompson's character confronts her husband, played by Alan Rickman, about his affair.
At the end of the movie, it's unclear whether their marriage survived the ordeal, but finally, fans have an answer as to what really happened.
Emma Freud, the partner of Richard Curtis, the film's writer/director, took to Twitter to clear up questions about the 2003 romantic comedy, including that one.
"They stay together," she wrote, "but home isn't as happy as it once was."
She added that her husband first said that Rickman's infidelity was a full-blown affair with his colleague, but then changed his mind and said it was just a flirtation.
Freud didn't stop there, though. After tweeting about the film over the weekend, she took fans' questions about the film, and answered them below.
