— -- Country star Luke Bryan, who took in his 13-year-old nephew, Til, earlier this year after his brother-in-law's unexpected death last November, is talking about his new life living with the boy following the tragedy.

Bryan's brother-in-law, Ben Lee Cheshire, was married to Bryan's late sister, Kelly, who died in 2007.

"Now I have my 7-year-old, Bo, and Tatum, who's 4, and we have my 13-year-old nephew, Til," Bryan, 38, told Ellen DeGeneres on her show, which aired today.

Bryan said his wife, Caroline, is pretty busy running around for the three children. The couple live in Nashville, Tennessee.

"It's baseball, getting them to baseball," he said.

Bryan joked that "you can kind of control a 7-year-old," but a teen his nephew's age is a different story.

"You're not fooling a 13-year-old," he said. "But we love it. We feel honored that we are so blessed to take him in. He has two older sisters, too, so now I'm kind of like, we gotta do the whole 'scare whoever, the boys that they are talking to.' I have to play that role, too."

After taking in his nephew in February, Bryan told ABC News that he and Caroline get exhausted by the end of every day, but that he tells himself this is all part of God's plan.

"You know, we just stay positive. I think people expect that from me," he said. "I have to pray that people that have had similar situations can maybe look at my family and see me positively dealing with it. I'm not saying it's easy."
