Marvel Announces 9 Upcoming Movies, Including 'Captain America: Civil War'
Robert Downey Jr. is back as Iron Man faces off against Captain America.
— -- Marvel Studios made a major announcement today at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood and the news was huge!
With the likes of "Avengers" director Joss Whedon in the audience, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige took the stage and said the company was announcing Phase 3 of the Marvel movies.
That full list is below. The big news came when the next two guys hit the stage, according to the Marvel Liveblog. Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans walked up and announced "Captain America: Civil War," which will presumably feature the Cap and Iron Man facing off on May 6, 2016 -- the first of the Phase 3 movies.
Note: Another title for the movie "Captain America: Serpent Society" was also shown on the screen for the same movie.
"This is heartbreaking for me. I can’t believe something would come between us," Evans said of the fact that he will be pitted against Tony Stark's Iron Man, his "Avengers" teammate.
Why the face-off.
Feige later said the story line with revolve around governments in the world wanting regulation.
Also revealed about this movie was that Black Panther, played by Chadwick Boseman ('Get on Up'), will appear in this movie before he gets his own flick.
