Matt Bomer Reveals How He Trained for Stunts in 'The Nice Guys'
Bomer co-stars with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling in "The Nice Guys."
— -- Matt Bomer said he relished the chance to play the bad guy in “The Nice Guys.”
“I think anytime you can show different colors and portray something that you haven't had a chance to do is always really refreshing as an actor,” Bomer said in an interview that aired today on “Good Morning America.”
The “Magic Mike” actor, 38, also relished getting the chance to perform his own stunts.
“That was part of the fun of it for me,” Bomer said. “There was one scene where I fire four different types of weapons at them. So all that arms training and the fight sequences with Russell — it was just a blast.”
Bomer said the hardest part of filming the movie was trying to keep a straight face while acting in scenes with his co-stars Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling.
“I knew they were brilliant actors, but what they brought to the roles and nuances and the way they understand the dynamics and chemistry of ... the buddy cop genre ... you can't not have a good time watching them together,” he said.
