— -- Melanie Griffith is slowly finding her way back into the dating game after splitting from Antonio Banderas after 18 years of marriage.
"It's just sort of nice," she told People magazine. "My kids are all great. They're beautiful people. I'm single, and lonely, and bored, and confused, but then at the same time, totally curious. It's almost like I have to throw myself out of the nest."
Griffith, 58, and Banderas, 55, wed in 1996. They have a daughter together, and Griffith also has two children from previous marriages.
Griffith said when it comes to her love life, she's "still looking." But she later clarified, "I'm not really looking, I'm just being, and I figure if I'm meant to have another relationship, I will, and if I'm not, then I won't."
The actress added that she's having an "introspective time right now" especially since her youngest daughter, 19-year-old Stella, is moving out and starting college at UCLA this fall.
As for her adult children -- Alexander Bauer, 30, and actress Dakota Johnson, 26 -- she hopes they make her a grandmother "soon."
"Then they can come over and then go home," she added with a laugh. "I think just seeing my kids with their own kids is going to be the thing."
