Michael Buble Cancels BBC Music Awards Performance
The singer revealed last week his 3-year-old son has cancer.
— -- After announcing the sad news last week that his 3-year-old son, Noah, has cancer, Michael Bublé has canceled his appearance at the upcoming BBC Music Awards.
The singer had been set to perform at the awards ceremony, which is scheduled for Dec. 12.
"We send Michael and his family our very best wishes," BBC Music Director Bob Shennan said in a statement to BBC News.
Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, said that they would be putting their career commitments on hold to focus on treatment for Noah.
"We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing," they said in a statement posted to Facebook Friday.
Bublé is also scheduled to host the Brit Awards in London on Feb. 22 and the Canadian Juno Awards on April 2. There is no word yet on the status of those appearances.
