Back in 2012, Michael Strahan stunned viewers on "Live" by breaking out his very own stripper dance for Channing Tatum, who was promoting "Magic Mike," at the time.
Well, it seems Strahan, 42, showing off his dance moves paid off. The next year, Strahan was named as co-host of "Live with Kelly & Michael" and Tatum came back to offer the ex-New York Giant and Super Bowl champ a role in the "Magic Mike" sequel.
Today, Strahan announced that he will be appearing in "Magic Mike XXL."
"I'm getting ready to do something that's making me nervous," he said today. "I'm about to do something that started as a joke on the show."
In a video clip, Strahan said he would be in the movie for Tatum.
"I would do it for you," he said, then shaking hands with the star of the movie.
On Monday, Strahan admitted he would wear very little in his upcoming big screen appearance.
"It's kind of a thong thing," he said of his outfit for the movie.
After Monday's big announcement, fans tweeted their excitement.
Strahan will join Tatum, Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello in the film.
Check out his moves! What do you think of the casting? Best ever?
"Magic Mike XXL" hits theaters on July 1, 2015.
