Nicki Minaj Curses Out Miley Cyrus at MTV VMAs
Apparently she didn't like the interview Cyrus did earlier in the week.
— -- Nicki Minaj kicked off the MTV VMAs by performing with Taylor Swift, apparently patching things up with the pop icon after the two had a beef earlier this year via Twitter over the award show's nominations list.
But after Minaj won a Moon Man for Best Hip-Hop Video, Minaj gave her speech then said, "Now back to the b---- who had a lot to say about me earlier in the week, Miley Cyrus what's good?"
Minaj pointed at Cyrus, apparently mad at what VMAs host said in a New York Times interview published Thursday.
When Cyrus was asked about what she thought about what Minaj said when she didn't get nominated for the big award of the night, saying skinny blonde girls got the nod instead, Cyrus said, "I don’t respect your statement because of the anger that came with it. And it's not anger like, 'Guys, I'm frustrated about some things that are a bigger issue.' You made it about you. Not to sound like a b-----, but that’s like, 'Eh, I didn’t get my V.M.A.'"
She continued, "If you want to make it about race, there's a way you could do that. But don't make it just about yourself."
When the camera flashed back to Cyrus on Sunday night during the show, Minaj was still pointing at Cyrus, calling her out for talking trash.
Minaj also tweeted after the incident with "Lmfaooooooooooooo."
Cyrus, however, just congratulated Minaj and then said across the room, "It's no big deal, it's just an award," referring to her original comments in the Times.
