Oscars 2016: 3 Trends to Look For On the Red Carpet From Christian Siriano
The fashion designer is expecting lots of drama and sequins this year.
— -- Sunday night isn't only the biggest night in film, it's also a huge night in fashion.
At the Oscars, all eyes will be on the red carpet as actresses and actors strut in the world's most coveted designers.
New York-based fashion designer Christian Siriano, who dressed Solange for last year's ceremony, told ABC News what he expects to see on the carpet.
Here are three trends that he predicts:
1. Sequins: "The sequin is everyone's friend I guess, always and forever."
2. Drama: "For the Oscars, it has to be as old Hollywood glamour and as exuberant as it can be. Because it's such a big stage, the carpet's big, I think the nominations are big so -- I don't know -- I want to see drama."
3. Fashion for Every Woman: "It's so important to dress that everywoman. She can be any size and any age and look great in clothes. I think that that's so important. The actresses that are nominated, they are kind of every age, which is really interesting."
