An engineering student, the 22-year-old Chestnut became the first American to eat 50 dogs in a 12-minute contest and has set records in grilled cheese sandwiches (47 in 10 minutes), fried asparagus (6.25 pounds in 10 minutes) and waffles (18.5 in ten minutes).
