— -- Prince Rogers Nelson died this morning at the age of 57.
The music icon was found in Paisley Park home in Chanhassen, Minnesota, his rep Yvette Noel-Schure said in a statement.
"It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary iconic performer, Prince, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57," the statement reads.
But just a month ago, the icon was in New York City, performing a private show for his fans to celebrate the announcement of his upcoming book.

Staff from ABC News were at the final private show, in which he performed for about two hours on March 18.
He spoke with excitement about writing his book, which would start from his birth and go up to when he performed at the Super Bowl in 2007, which has been widely praised as one of the best halftime shows ever.
The concert took place at a lounge in the Chelsea neighborhood with comedian Trevor Noah, Harry Belafonte and the cast of "Hamilton" in attendance, among others.
He played on a keyboard, singing classics like "I Would Die 4 You," "Hot Thing" and "Nasty Girl," while two backup dancers performed behind him.
He teased songs like "When Doves Cry," but joked that he'd be there all night if he sang the full version. There were no cameras allowed inside the venue.
This was Prince's last private show in New York. He later performed public shows in Georgia and Minnesota earlier this month before his death.
