Radio Disney Music Awards Sets Date for 2015 Ceremony

Nominees will be announced on February 27.

— -- The annual Radio Disney Music Awards, which honors artists who are popular with children and younger teens, will be held April 25 in Los Angeles, Radio Disney announced Thursday.

The awards will take place at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE. A televised special of the event, including a 30-minute pre-show with red carpet arrivals, will follow on April 26 on the Disney Channel.

Highlights of the awards will also be available on Radio Disney, the Radio Disney App, the Disney Channel WATCH app and RadioDisney.com.

The awards are voted upon by fans around the world, and nominees will be announced on February 27.

Awards categories include best crush song, best music video and best breakup song.

Among last year’s winners were Idina Menzel for the "Frozen" hit “Let It Go” in the Favorite Song from a Movie or TV Show category, Selena Gomez for “Come & Get It” in the Song of the Year category and the Norwegian duo Ylvis, which took the award for Catchiest New Song for its hit, “The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?).”
