Raven-Symone Tells Child Stars in Scandals, 'That's Your Fault, Boo-Boo'
"My parents taught me to keep my private life private," she said.
— -- Raven-Symoné began her career at just 3 years old, starring on "The Cosby Show."
Unlike many child stars, she's largely managed to avoid scandal.
"My parents taught me to keep my private life private to the best of my ability," she told Oprah Winfrey. "They showed me all the role models out there that I could turn in to, and [to think about] what I want for myself in the future."
The actress, now 28, also learned lessons on her own. Watching other child stars "going off the edge" helped her to not make the same mistakes that they did.
"It's unnecessary to go to the most popular restaurant in the world when you have a scandal on your head and then get mad that someone's going to take a picture of you," she said. "That's your fault boo boo. Stay in the house."
