Reality Star Angela 'Big Ang' Raiola Has Stage 4 Brain and Lung Cancer
The sister of the "Mob Wives" star updated fans on Big Ang's diagnosis.
— -- Reality star Angela 'Big Ang" Raiola has been diagnosed with cancer.
Raiola's sister Janine Detore confirmed her diagnosis on Wednesday after starting a GoFundMe Page for the "Mob Wives" star.
According to Detore, Ragniola, 55, was diagnosed with stage 4 brain and lung cancer, and although she has been undergoing chemotherapy since early January, the reality star was recently informed that her "treatment was not working."
"In fact, one tumor grew larger and the other tumors had no change," according to Detore. "We were advised that she would start immunotherapy the following week. Well here we are at the emergency room, waiting to see why her breathing is labored and the amount of pain she is having is by far more than she could handle."
Detore revealed that she suggested using cannabis oil as an alternative treatment for Big Ang, and set up the GoFundMe page to request donations from friends, family and fans of the reality star so that she can afford the treatment that will "help her at least be pain free."
"Help Big Ang fight her BIGGEST BATTLE," Detore wrote.
The GoFundMe page has already exceeded its $25,000 goal, raising over $31,000 in one day.
