Robin Thicke Dedicates Song to Paula Patton After Split
"I'm trying to get my girl back," he said.
Feb. 28, 2014 — -- Days after Robin Thicke and Paula Patton announced they would be separating, the singer dedicated a song to his estranged wife of almost a decade, in attempts to regain her affection.
"We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," Patton told People magazine on Monday.
But Thicke isn't giving up.
The "Blurred Lines" singer began his concert in Virginia on Thursday night with a tribute to the girl he's been with since he was a teenager.
"For those of you who don't know, my wife and I got separated a few days ago," Thicke said. "But you know, I want everybody here to know that I'm trying to get my girl back."

He continued, "She told me, she said, 'You should go out there and tell them the truth. Tell them that you're trying to get me back' ... she's a good woman."
He then sang "Lost Without U." He was visibly emotional during the performance and even asked the crowd to help get him "through this."
The singer, 36, and the actress, 38, have been married since 2005 and are parents to son Julian Fuego, 3.
