Why Scout Willis Is Walking Around NYC Topless

May 28, 2014— -- Scout Willis is being provocative to prove a point.

The daughter of "Die Hard" actor Bruce Willis walked around New York City topless earlier this week and then tweeted the pictures to protest Instagram's nudity policy.

Instagram has deleted and won't allow pictures of nipples, even breast cancer survivors and women breastfeeding their children.

Willis, 22, pointed out that people can post provocative pictures and pictures about guns and violence but not women showing their nipples.

"Legal in NYC but not on @instagram," she wrote in her Twitter feed.

NYC police confirm that it is legal for women to walk around the city topless.

She added, "What @instagram won't let you see #FreeTheNipple."

Willis said for posting pictures topless prior to this protest, Instagram deleted her account.

Instagram's terms of service state, "You may not post violent, nude, partially nude, discriminatory, unlawful, infringing, hateful, pornographic or sexually suggestive photos or other content."
