Shailene Woodley: 'I Fall in Love With People Based on Who They Are'
Actress talks about love and falling in love in new interview.
— -- When Shailene Woodley falls in love, she falls deep.
"I’m all-loving," Woodley told Elle for its the April cover story. "I fall in love with people based on who they are."
The 23-year-old "Insurgent" actress said she takes a "heart-centered" approach to love.
"Like, 'This is who I am! And I love you if you love me for who this person is. And if not, I’ll still love you, but I ain’t fallin’ in love with you!'" she explained to Elle.
She also expounded on what she expects from a lover.
"When you’re truly in love, for me, it’s ... you’re my lighthouse!" she said. "You’re somebody who holds me high, keeps me safe, you’ve got my ... back. ... You also love me whole, wild, and free. You let me do me, and I’m gonna let you do you! And I’ll be the home that you return to."
So is Woodley currently in love?
She only smiled but wouldn't say.
The actress has previously said she doesn't have a particular type and doesn't see gender when she's falling in love.
"I fall in love with human beings based on who they are, not based on what they do or what sex they are," she told The Hollywood Reporter last March.
