Sofia Vergara Spills Wedding Secrets on 'GMA,' Says She's 'Beyond' Bridezilla Status
The star says her fiance Joe Manganiello is "a pleasure" to wedding-plan with.
— -- Sofia Vergara let it slip at the Emmys that her big day with hunky husband-to-be, Joe Manganiello, is in November.
With the nuptials being so close, she spilled some of her wedding secrets on “Good Morning America” today, including details on her highly-anticipated dress, which she admits, she doesn’t even have yet.
“I don’t have the dress. I know who’s making my dress, but it’s not ready,” the “Modern Family” actress said. “They’re making it far away so we’ll see what happens when it arrives and I’m very excited. But we’re almost ready.”

Vergara, 43, credits her “great party planner,” Mindy Weiss, for “taking care of everything,” which must be a tough job because the actress says she’s beyond the typical bridezilla status.
“I am very detail-oriented so I am kind of like a nightmare,” she said. “I have a very good memory. If you show me swatches of things, I can in two months exactly remember, ‘What happened with the one with the little border that had the little print?’ I’m like, really bad.”
Her fiancé, Manganiello, is handling the entire wedding-planning process in stride, however.
“He’s a pleasure to be doing this with. He lets me do whatever I want,” Vergara quipped. “I show him options that of course I already want and I’m happy with, so whatever he’s going to pick I already like.”
The couple apparently considered eloping due to their busy schedules, but Vergara’s family put the stop to that idea.
“We did at the beginning. We thought, ‘Let’s not deal with this craziness,’ because we’re super busy and to plan a weekend that we can both be there and have a little honeymoon or something,” she said. “But my family was very difficult. My family started having seizures and heart attacks, complaints and emails with bad words. They wanted a party. They needed a party. The last party I did was when I was turning 40 so it’s been like three years so they wanted something.”
The season seven premier of ABC’s hit show “Modern Family” tonight at 9 p.m. ET.
