Feb. 12 -- Hollywood waits with bated breath for today's Oscar nominations and this year, the suspense is especially thick.

Most years, the front-runners are established by now. But there's no one single standout film, no Titanic to tower over the nominations. It literally could be anyone's race.

Sure, Russell Crowe is a good bet to get Best Actor nods for A Beautiful Mind, and Moulin Rouge could very likely become the first musical in more than two decades to be nominated for Best Picture.

But until the magic envelops open (at 8:38 a.m. Eastern Time), it's anybody's guess.

Until then, here are Good Morning America's Joel Siegel picks for the top awards.
