Eminem Disses Madonna
July 5 -- While she continues to shock and offend some with her new tour, in which she simulates killing a man onstage, Madonna is boring one musical colleague
Rapper Eminem says of the pop icon's Drowned World Tour performances, "I wasn't impressed with her recent live shows. I'd rather sit in a dentist's chair."
We eagerly await Madonna's critique of Slim Shady's acting debut as a villain in the upcoming Training Day and his forthcoming big-screen biopic. You think that Eminem would approve of Madonna's act, which includes her grabbing a rifle to take out a male dancer who has been harassing her during the song "What It Feels Like for a Girl."
The Material Mom's video for the song, directed by hubbie Guy Ritchie of Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels Fame, in which she was seen going on a crime spree, was deemed too violent to be put into rotation by MTV and VH1.
Madonna's rep, Liz Rosenberg, tells the New York Daily News, "Madonna hasn't explained what her intentions are in the show. The man she shoots was abusive to her earlier on. There's a thread that runs through the show about women and power. It's operatic."
Lest anyone thing Madonna is (please) becoming a member of the NRA, the big M's mouthpiece adds, "I don't think she's advocating violence as a solution to domestic abuse. But when Madonna has a message, she's not afraid of the consequences of those who might not agree."
As for Eminem, Rosenberg says of the on-probation star's Madonna thumbs-down, "God bless him."
