Uma and Ethan Expecting

June 29 -- Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke are expecting their second child in January, the pair's spokesperson confirms to People magazine.

The couple, who met on the set of the genetic-engineering sci-fi flick Gattaca, already have a daughter, Maya Ray, who was born in 1998.After becoming a mother for the first time, Thurman told The Associated Press, "I think motherhood is sexy. I don't expect anyone else to, but for me it's one of the sexiest things I've ever done. By far."

It's not clear whether Thurman, who's drawn good reviews for her work in the period piece The Golden Bowl, can fit in her upcoming movie Kill Bill before welcoming Baby No. 2.Hawke, meanwhile, will next be seen in Training Day as a rookie cop opposite jaded vet Denzel Washington.
