June 18 -- Knight Rider will ride again. David Hasselhoff is planning to bring his 1980s hit into the 21st century.

The former Baywatch hunk recently told Entertainment Weekly that Michael Knight is coming out of retirement, hiring a couple of kids, and bringing an updated version of Kitt the talking car back to battle criminals.

"I'll be the older, cool boss who oversees this incredibly updated car," he said.

The original voice of Kitt, Screen Actors Guild President William Daniels, has already committed to the project. His credits also include portraying a teacher on Boy Meets World and an acerbic doctor on St. Elsewhere.

Oprah's New Digs

Oprah Winfrey has a new, $50 million crib in Santa Barbara, Calif.

The 23,000-foot Georgian mansion is situated on a 42-acre estate with a swimming pool, tennis court, barn, orchard, lake and two ponds. The previous owners paid only $14 million for the estate before renovating it themselves.

Meanwhile, actress Sandra Bullock is less than thrilled about her new digs. The actress is suing the builder of her luxury home in Lake Austin, Texas. She claims he switched the house plans on her without informing her first.

The Miss Congeniality star wants her $330,000 investment back, plus any costs for additional damages and legal fees.

Millionaire Syndication

You might soon see Who Wants to Be a Millionaire during the day, but not with Regis Philbin.

ABC has finally given the green light to syndicating the popular game show, but it will be done without the show's star.

Regis will hang onto his job at the ABC version of the show, but he says he is too tied up with other projects to host the syndicated version, as well.

Michael David, who produces the current prime-time show, will serve as executive producer of the syndicated edition, which is slated to premiere next year.

While Rosie O'Donnell is rumored as a possible host for the syndicated edition, as of yet, the job has not been filled.
