Sting's Plane Skids, Singer OK

F L O R E N C E, Italy, April 30 -- A small jet carrying musician Sting hasskidded off a runway in Florence, Italy, but no one was hurt.

Italian news reports say Sting, a friend and two pilots wereaboard a Cessna Citation 5 when it went off the runway atFlorence's airport today. It went through some safety nettingbefore coming to a stop on a grassy knoll.

Sting walked off the plane unhurt. He drove with his friend tohis home in a nearby town.

The cause of the accident is under investigation. An Italiannews agency is suggesting the brakes may have malfunctioned.
