July 18 -- Want to do something that will make you feel good about yourself? Or would you rather just slip on Elizabeth Hurleys animal print dress?

Now, you can do both.

The gavel came down for the first time Monday at AllStarCharity.com, which hosts auctions that allows celebrity donors to give 100 percent of the proceeds to the charity of their choice. Bidding on the Hurley jungle dress starts at $400, with the money raised going to Planet Hope, a nonprofit organization created by Sharon Stone and her husband to reform the welfare system.

Theres no advertising on the site. The stars give either an experience or an item and they say where the money should go, says talk show host Leeza Gibbons. Gibbons and baseball legend Willie Mays rang the opening bell at bell at the New York Stock Exchange to help kick off the site.

The nonprofit Web site, based in Los Angels, is supported by Sony Broadband Entertainment.

Its a very cool opportunity for fans to get a piece of the person that they, uh, have a passion for or to support a charity that they believe in, Gibbons says.

Fishing With Keaton

Hows this for a cool experience: You could have a walk-on role in an upcoming Dharma & Greg episode or join race car driver Dale Jarrett as an honorary pit crew member. Bidding for each starts at $3,000 and those funds will go to various cancer charities.

If thats not your thing, want to go fly-fishing in Montana with actor Michael Keaton? The site promises that experience will soon be on the auction block.

Other stars getting involved: 98 Degrees, Sting, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Babyface, Phil Collins, David Crosby, Richard Marx, Leann Rimes, Kenny Rogers, Steve Miller, Tony Bennett and more.

Between the personal nature of the celebrity donations themselves and the diverse charities benefiting, consumers feel like they are participating in a much more from the heart level, says Gibbons, who will be writing a regular column for the site.
