The movie adaptation of the best-selling erotic novel "50 Shades of Grey" has cast the role of Christian Grey and his leading lady Anastasia.
"Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam has been cast as the young businessman Grey, known for his bondage sexual practices, according to the book's author E.L. James, who broke the news on Twitter.
"The gorgeous and talented Charlie Hunnam will be Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey," she posted today.
James also broke the news of Anastasia's casting.
"I am delighted to let you know that the lovely Dakota Johnson has agreed to be our Anastasia in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey," she wrote a few minutes prior.
Johnson is the daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith and is best know for her work on "Ben & Kate" and "The Social Network" as a love interest of Sean Parker's.
Focus Features and Universal Pictures also confirmed the casting with a press release.
The film, which will focus on Anastasia, a college student who has a sexual awakening at the hands of Grey, will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and released next August.
