Seinfeld's House Voted Best Summer Party Pad in the U.S.
Jerry Seinfeld's Hamptons house has been voted the best celebrity summer home.
(East Hampton -- WABC, July 6, 2007) — -- Comedian Jerry Seinfeld reportedly has the best partying house in the Hamptons, according to "OK Magazine."
The 12-acre East Hampton waterfront property, which he bought from Billy Joel in 2000 for $32 million, was voted the top celebrity summer home in the country.
Seinfeld's digs beat out Katie Couric's $6.3 million two-story house in East Hampton (No. 6), Gwyneth Paltrow's $5.4 million five-bedroom home in Amagansett (No. 8), Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick's $4.7 million two-story beach house in Amagansett (No. 9) and Renee Zellweger's $2 million four-bedroom farmhouse in East Hampton (No. 10).
And Jerry's pad has it all, including extensive renovations he and his wife Jessica had done like a playroom, nursery and den.
Did we mention the 22 car garage and the baseball diamond?
"I like the way the air smells," Seinfeld, 53, is quoted in the magazine as saying.
The editors took the price of the homes into account when choosing the list. The magazine, which comes out Thursday, also includes George Clooney's $7 million Italian villa; Donald Trump's $10 million Palm Beach estate; Commack native Rosie O'Donnell's $6 million Biscayne Bay, Florida, mansion; Elton John's $9.75 million property in the South of France; and Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas' $7 million villa in Spain.
