'Stranger Things' star Millie Bobby Brown stuck in Bali after volcano eruptions

— -- A volcano eruption caused "Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown stay put in Bali for much longer than she expected.
"Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that I have been in Bali after traveling through Australia," the 13-year-old actress wrote on Instagram. "I wasn’t able to return home after a four day break turned into 10 days due to the volcano."
She shared several photos on social media, including the hotel staff at the Mulia Bali resort. Travel was shut down on the island after Mount Agung erupted, covering the island in smoke and ash.
"I would really love to thank all of the staff at the @themuliabali for taking such good care of us while having to extend our stay here; I cannot thank you enough! Also, to the Balinese people who are the sweetest, kindest and most humble people I've ever met," Millie said.
"But most of all, my thoughts and prayers are with the people whose lives have been affected by this. I truly hope everyone there stays safe," she added. "Sending all my love to Bali. Until next time."
Local officials ordered 100,000 people to leave the exclusion zone, which spans more than six miles from the crater, The Associated Press reported.
A request for comment from Millie's rep was not immediately returned to ABC News.
The young star was recently interviewed on "Popcorn with Peter Travers" and spoke about how her life has changed with the success of her Netflix show and her character Eleven.
"It's definitely transformed. My schedule is a lot busier,” she said. “I'm meeting new and different people every day. I think it's really exciting. I feel like Eleven's really helped me as a person and as an actor. So I think yeah, she's kind of made me develop into a new person. I'm so thankful for 'Stranger Things.' It's something I could never regret because it's definitely transformed my career.”
