Tony Goldwyn Complains About His 'Scandal' Character's Sex Life
"It's a problem!" he said with a laugh.
— -- Many "Scandal" fans wonder if President Fitzgerald Grant and Olivia Pope will rekindle their affair this season.
Even Tony Goldwyn, who plays Fitz, is wondering.
"Fitz has not had sex for a long time," he said on today's The Ellen DeGeneres Show, laughing. "That's all I'm saying. It's a problem."
If Goldwyn's co-star, Portia de Rossi, had any say in the writer's room, Fitz and Liv, played by Kerry Washington, would be together by season's end.
"Portia said to me the other day, she goes, 'It's gonna happen. By the end of the season, it's gonna happen.' She said, 'Tony, you better start doing push-ups."
But instead of push-ups, Goldwyn said all he needs is a quick power nap to transform into the leader of the free world. "I take, like, tiny power naps before I have to do a scene," he revealed. "I do it when I'm working in the theater before I go onstage. I try and fall asleep right before I go onstage."
"Scandal" airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
