— -- Tracy Morgan made a triumphant return to the stage as he performed his first stand-up comedy show since a June 2014 car accident left the comedian critically injured.
The actor performed at the Comedy Cellar in New York City Monday night after a year-and-a-half-long hiatus from the stage.
Morgan, 46, tweeted about his comeback, saying "My first time on stage in 16 Months at the #ComedyCellar! Picking up the pieces!"
The photo shows Morgan standing on the Comedy Cellar stage without any assistance.
Morgan's first stage appearance after the accident was at the 2015 Emmy Awards last month, when he presented the award for Best Drama Series and addressed his recovery progress after receiving a standing ovation.
"Thanks to my amazing doctors, the support of my family ... I'm here, standing on my own two feet," Morgan said.
Morgan will continue his comedy comeback when he hosts “Saturday Night Live” Oct. 17.
