— -- Tracy Morgan had a "better day" Thursday, but remained in critical condition almost a week removed from a multi-car crash on the New Jersey Turnpike.

"Today was a better day," his rep told ABC News in a statement. "While Tracy remains in critical, but stable, condition, he continues to show signs of improvement. His medical team remains optimistic that his recovery is progressing."

Morgan's fiance, Megan Wollover, the mother to his baby girl, has been with him the whole week at a New Jersey hospital.

The statement added, "Megan remains by his side and is relaying the countless good wishes and prayers that his family, friends and fans have been sending their way."

The comedian was hospitalized after a crash early Saturday morning, when a Walmart truck collided with the limo bus Morgan was riding in. James McNair, a fellow comedian in Morgan's limo, died in the crash.

In addition to Morgan, his assistant, Jeff Millea, and comedian Ardie Fuqua also were listed in critical condition.

"Jeff's wife asked us to pass along that Jeff has also shown much improvement over the past few days," Morgan's rep said. "She is very thankful for the love and support she and their family continue to receive."

Kevin Roper, the driver of the Walmart truck that hit Morgan's vehicle, is accused of vehicular homicide and pled not guilty on Wednesday.

He remained free on $50,000 bail. No new court appearance has been scheduled.

Middlesex County prosecutors have accused Roper, 35, of not sleeping for 24 hours prior to the crash.
