The same is true for celebrities.

Kelly Clarkson, who welcomed a daughter a few months back, unwrapped her post-baby body in a Facebook video with her husband, Brandon Blackstock, while Victoria Beckham and Will Smith enlisted their children to help them dump ice water over their heads. Vogue editor Anna Wintour accepted the challenge from her daughter, while encouraging Roger Federer to follow suit. (He did.)

Anne Hathaway created an Instagram profile just to complete the challenge, and if she gets her way, we'll soon see videos from Jessica Chastain, Matthew McConaughey and Joan Rivers. Her fourth nomination, for Kristen Stewart, was ill-timed, as Stewart already did the challenge with her friend, Nicholas Hoult.

"In good faith you must believe that all of this was done with dirty bath water," Stewart said after getting drenched. "Please be considerate of California water conservation."
