"The Walking Dead" returned for season 5 on Sunday with the nail-biting episode, "No Sanctuary."
Rick and the gang must escape the flash-hungry people who live at Terminus -- predators who actual eat those they capture, according to TV Line's recap.
The show opened with a flashback scene for Gareth, the Terminus leader. During the flashback we see a glimpse of his group's troubled past and possibly why they have become ruthless people eaters.
Carol helps Bob, Rick, Daryl and the gang -- who are about to have their throats slit and then be eaten for dinner -- escape by lighting up a tank of gas and creating a firey diversion.
Carol also dispatches of Mary, the Terminus chef, by shooting her in the leg with her old-friend Daryl's crossbow and leaving her to be killed by walkers.
Meanwhile, Tyreese is back at a shack with a captive from the evil Terminus group. The captive makes a move to hurt Judith, Rick's infant son, and in short, Tyreese took care of him.
Don't forget about the touted "cure" Eugene is supposedly taking to D.C. Eugene reveals it might have something to do or have been born from experiments on weaponized diseases.
The touching moment of the episode was when Carol and Daryl reunited as she helped the group stay alive. She had been banished by Rick in the past. Carol then helps a grateful Rick reunite with his infant daughter Judith.
At the end of the show (post credits), we see Morgan return, who hasn't been seen since season 3. You might remember Morgan as the man Rick first saw when he woke up from his coma all the way back on season 1.
