'Wonder Woman' Actress Gal Gadot Expecting Baby No. 2

— -- Wonder Woman is expecting a wonder child.

Actress Gal Gadot, who portrayed the iconic superhero in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," is expecting her second child with husband Yaron Versano.

Gadot, 31, wed the Israeli businessman in 2008. They are already parents to a daughter, Alma.

The actress announced the news on her social media accounts by sharing a photo of herself with her husband. Their hands are placed on top of her stomach in the shape of a heart.

Gadot captioned the photo, "So excited to share this wonder with you... #mommyforthesecondtime."

The Wonder Woman character became a fan favorite in "Batman v Superman," and Gadot is starring in her own "Wonder Woman" film that will hit theaters in 2017.

Gadot has said that her daughter played a huge role in her taking the role of Wonder Woman.

"I have a 4-year-old daughter and she adores princesses. At the same time, she will tell me the princess is so weak, she falls asleep and the prince will come and kiss her and save her and he is the hero," Gadot said back in March at a press conference.

"So I am so happy to be the one who is going to tell the Wonder Woman story. It is such an important story to tell," she continued. "It is so important for girls and boys to have a female, strong, superhero to look up to."
