— -- Zac Efron could have used more support from his friends this weekend.

His new music drama, "We Are Your Friends," in which he plays an aspiring D.J., was a major flop over the weekend. It earned an estimated $1.8 million on more than 2,300 screens, ranking as one of the weakest debuts ever for a film with such a wide release.

The number-one movie, for the third weekend in a row, was the N.W.A. biopic "Straight Outta Compton," which raised $13.2 million.

The religious drama "War Room" opened in second place, collecting $11 million in 11-hundred-plus locations. In other words, it had a much better debut than "We Are Your Friends."

The Owen Wilson thriller "No Escape" took fourth place, with 8.3 million. The film has made $10.3 million since it arrived in theaters last Wednesday.
