Today was a day I will never forget. Dancing for America live was quite an experience. Patty, Sy, Awilda and I put our hearts and souls into those performances this morning. I know it might look easy on "Dancing With the Stars," but those forty seconds each of us danced were incredibly intense.

I would like to take this time to acknowledge the other moms who made it to the top ten but couldnt be here with us in New York. You are winners; you touched America. Thanks to my dance partner, Joe. Erica Calderon, my right hand, your support has been awesome. Thank you to my family: Mike, Nick, Chris, Chuck, Mook, Aunt Elsie, Aunt Carolyn, Ebony, Robin, Leilani, Uncle Bubble, Mia, Mama Diane and all my other gazillion family members. You all have forever changed me. Thank you to the voters and supporters of dwtm. My Aunt Elsie is here to cheer me on.

We ate at world famous Sylvia's last night. Friends, colleagues and myprecious students, I truly appreciate you. You all rock! Lorain rocks! Cleveland rocks! Tomorrow we swing!

Friday, May 18

We worked haaard today! Lots and lots of dancing at the studio. Joe really has a lot of patience. It is fun, though. The ladies (Awilda, Patty, and Sy) and I are like old friends. You can tell we're all moms. They take care of me. We take care of each other. We ate at an Italian spot which was really good.

What an experience! Thank you all for the support and well wishes. My home town, Lorain, Ohio and Cleveland have been wonderful. My family has been wonderful, too. I am so grateful to have been selected for this. Please continue to send up the prayers on my behalf -- even after DWTM is over. I will be in prayer for you all, too.

Dancing Machines

Today was jam packed full of dancing! We began rehearsing at 10 a.m. and went until 5 p.m. My partner, Joe Palmer, and I worked on all three dances a bit but mostly cha-cha, since that's the first dance challenge next week. It was hard, but it was fun. I just hope I remember all the stuff Joe taught me like frame, posture, arm positioning, and how to spin. He is very good and extremely patient.

Today GMA surprised us by having Mr. Chris Cuomo from GMA come to the dance studio to interview us. That was sooooo awesome! He is so nice and down to earth.

Patty, Awilda, Sy and I ate at a trendy Greek restaurant tonight. I'd better watch it or I won't be able to fit into my dress! Sy was happy, though. Sy is always happiest when she is not too hungry! :)

I talked to my boys before they went to bed tonight. They always want to know how the other moms are doing.

Well, soreness is setting in now. I don't care, though. Today was still a blast. Thank you to GMA and all the folks who support DWTM. See you tomorrow.

Meeting Our Partners and Lisa Rinna

Today was the most awesome, fantastic, fabulous day... and I am dog tired!

As if yesterday was not wonderful enough, today we shopped at Capezio for shoes and dresses at Bloomingdale's. How awesome is that? Then we met our dance partners at the dance studio. They were all hot and very professional. We practiced for about three hours today, but we're on for eight hours tomorrow.

But the BEST part about today was meeting the one and only Lisa Rinna, who gave Awilda, Patty, Sy and me tips on dancewear. Wow! Now THAT was amazing!

The moms are super, too. I feel like I've known them forever. We are all very supportive of each other and sincerely enjoy each other's company so far.

Thank you to all the voters and to the folks who support "the moms."Thanks to "GMA," who made this all possible. This experience rocks! And "the moms" promise to rock YOU on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week! Take care.
