May 26 -- For Memorial Day, Good Morning America's Monday Morning Makeover tackled summer's perennial fashion dilemma: How do you go from beach to barbecue without looking like you spent the day in the surf?

Tracy Taylor, the style editor from Marie Claire magazine, helped orchestrate Good Morning America's Monday Morning Makeover for three beach-attired women who needed clothing to help making the transition from the warm beach sun to the evening's cool summer breezes.

South Beach to 70s Hip The perfect look for a South Beach kind of girl. The model wore a gold lame bikini, $66 from Guess?, to the beach, then simply pulled a 1970's-inspired print mini-dress over it for evening.

The Pucci-like print dress, $130 from Miss Sixty, was accessorized with oversized gold hoop earrings and flat gold thong shoes. Gold and other shiny fabrics are in this year, as are the 70s "hippy" look and miniskirts, Taylor said. But one word of caution: Make sure your legs are well-toned for this look.

Country Club Look This is more of a preppy country club look. The model wore a bandeau two-piece bathing suit. For evening, she took advantage of the strapless tan she worked on all day by changing into a green strapless "country club chic dress," by Express, $58. She accessorized with a Jackie O-inspired oversized pearl necklace, strappy heels and a white purse.

Urban Chic For those who prefer an urban chic look, try this outfit. For a day on the boardwalk look, the model wore a pink halter top from the Gap, $28, with a tan miniskirt.

For evening, she kept the halter but traded the miniskirt for silky cropped cargo pants, $46 from Hot Kiss, paired with strappy gold heels and large, chandelier-style earrings.
