Whirlpool Centralpark Refrigerator

Price: $1,999

This new refrigerator is like a home electronics hub, integrating a plug and play platform for consumer electronics. Interchangeable components such as this digital photo frame allows you to display thousands of pictures on your refrigerator without using a single magnet. You also can plug in satellite radio, portable DVD systems and MP3 players. Whirlpool will bring this to market starting in late October.

Microsoft Surface

Price: Approximately $10,000

This is basically a touch-screen coffee table or a table with a 30" display. It allows a user, or multiple users, to manipulate digital content by the use of natural motions and hand gestures, similar to the futuristic computer screens portrayed in the movie "Minority Report." So, the family can gather and look at digital photos or leave each memos just by touching the table. These will soon launch in hotels, casinos and restaurants and will make it to your home in three to five years. Future versions of Surface will incorporate a myriad device-sync capabilities. For instance, users could set a digital camera or mobile phone on the surface and watch as their pictures spill out across the table.
