Battle Boston Red Sox Pitcher Curt Schilling

June 5, 2006 — -- Did you ever wonder what it would be like to go head-to-head with Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling?

For three days you can.

Schilling will appear as a villainous character in the online game Everquest II today and on June 6 and 7, while the Sox play the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Every time a player defeats the virtual Schilling, Sony Online Entertainment creators will make a donation of $5 -- up to a maximum of $10,000 -- to the ALS Association.

Schilling's first online opponent was his son, Gehrig, who is named for Lou Gehrig, the late Yankee first basemen forever associated with ALS.
