N E W   Y O R K, Jan. 8 -- Beth Murphy, survived two bouts of melanoma, then lost her husband, Kevin, in the World Trade Center attacks.

But Murphy, whose story appeared on Good Morning America, never lost hope. After she lost her husband of 11 years, in the Sept. 11 attacks, she still looked to him for support, while she hoped her latest medical tests would somehow return with good news.

Her doctor did have good news for Beth, her latest medical tests showed that she is cancer free now.

After Sept. 11, a charity was set up at a bank to assist Murphy's children with their education:

Murphy Children's Education Fund, Fleet Bank, 680 Ft. Salonga Road, Northport, NY 11768
